The concept of this series of photograph is to show the reflections in the car mirror of what is left behind in coupledom to captures the ambiguity of the background and the surface of the image making the viewer looking forward and backward at the same time. This is also how we travel through our reality with our past in the form of memory, our present which we are constantly in, and our future which we are constantly about to enter.

For this project my intention is to expose abstracts of real views from the perspective of vehicles passenger mirrors, over a series of photographs centered of constructed reality involvement. The series shows abstract of moments or memories of American roads, urban streets, landscapes and outdoors frozen in time. I can say that I had been influenced by the photographers Lee Friedlander and his series “America by car” and the photograph of Colleen Plumb “Jack in Mirror, 1997”, but my biggest influences had been my personal life experiences. My biggest influences are all the roadtrips and car traveling I had done in my life and the future ones. This series of photographs is just the beginning of a long journey of images that I would be creating during my lifetime in this world and also the diary of my road traveling…
